The print is full of Día de Muertos favorites on deep black. There's a catrina crowned in orange and red blooms, a charro calavera in his embroidered sombrero and red bow tie, the calavera couple dressed for the fiesta, hand-painted calaveritas de azúcar, glowing veladoras, sugar-topped pan de muerto, a little skeleton Xolo, monarch butterflies, nopales and rows of fuchsia, turquoise and orange papel picado. Bright cempasúchil marigolds fill every open space, so the bun looks just as festive as the crown.
The rounded pouch at the nape holds a low ponytail, bun or braid, so your hair stays covered and off your neck all through a twelve-hour shift. The fuchsia ribbon cinches the pouch so you can adjust the fit anytime, and the smooth front band sits flat across your forehead and shows off the papel picado trim. It's sewn from 100% premium cotton that's soft, breathable and easy to wash. You can also add a satin lining for $8 when you order to protect curls, waves and edges from frizz and breakage.
