¡Que viva la fiesta! Picture a sunny afternoon in a Mexican pueblo: rows of cut-paper papel picado banners in hot pink, turquoise, marigold, orange, cobalt and violet strung across the street, glowing café lights between them, and walls covered in magenta bougainvillea under a bright blue sky. That is the feeling of this papel picado bouffant scrub cap, an OR World original print you will not find anywhere else.
Most papel picado prints are flat cartoons. We designed this fabric to look like the real thing, with every lacy cut-out, each glowing bulb and the flowers behind them in true-to-life detail, so it feels like you are standing in a plaza during a celebration. It is a joyful Mexican fiesta scrub cap that patients notice from across the room.
Wear it for Cinco de Mayo, 16 de septiembre, Hispanic Heritage Month, Día de los Muertos, a coworker's baby shower or quinceañera, your unit's potluck or any shift that needs a little alegría. It is a fun gift for a Latina nurse, a new nursing graduate, a favorite surgical tech or anyone who misses home.
In-stock caps arrive in about 3 to 5 days. If it shows sold out, you can still preorder, and we will hand sew yours to ship in about 2 to 3 weeks. Questions? Email create@orworld.net.
Worn by OR and surgical nurses, scrub techs, surgeons, anesthesiologists and CRNAs, L&D nurses, pediatric teams, vets and vet techs, dental offices and radiology techs.
