What kind of photos work best for a custom photo scrub cap?
We accept PNG, JPEG, and JPG files. Clear, well-lit photos work best, especially close-up shots of your pet's face or a clear photo of whoever or whatever you'd like featured on the cap. The better the photo quality, the sharper and more vibrant the print will look on the finished fabric. Our design team will also let you know during the mockup stage if any adjustments are needed to make your photo print beautifully.
How many photos can I upload?
You can upload up to 10 complimentary photos and mix and match them however you like. After 10 photos, additional photos are just $1 each. You can also include custom quotes, symbols, artwork, personalized designs, and combinations like your pet's photo alongside a surgeon's face or your whole team. The design is completely up to you.
How long does it take to get my custom photo scrub cap?
Within 1 to 2 business days of uploading your photos, our design team will send you a full digital mockup to review and approve. Once you approve the design, total production is typically about 2 to 3 weeks, and often less than that. Bulk orders may vary depending on quantity. We'll keep you updated throughout the entire process from upload to shipment.
Can I see the design before it's printed?
Yes, absolutely. You will receive a full digital mockup of your custom fabric design before anything goes to print. Production never begins until you have seen the design and given your full approval. We want you to absolutely love it before we make it.
What if I don't like the mockup — can I make changes?
Yes. You have unlimited custom adjustments and personalizations. If a color is slightly off, if you want to rearrange the layout, add a quote, change the background, or make any other adjustments, just let us know and we'll revise the design until it's exactly what you envisioned. There is no limit to the number of changes you can request before approving production.
What cap styles are available?
We offer four main styles for custom photo scrub caps. The traditional tie-back scrub cap is unisex and fits most head sizes. The ponytail scrub cap is designed for women and accommodates longer hair. The adjustable bouffant scrub cap offers a roomier fit. The adjustable euro scrub cap features elastic for a secure, low-profile fit. We also offer an XL ponytail option with satin lining. Do you offer satin lining?
Yes, satin lining is available and we do this often. It can be added to almost any hat on our site while you're shopping. Satin lining is especially popular with customers who have longer hair or sensitive skin, as it reduces friction, helps protect hair, and feels much softer during long shifts.
Can I order just one cap, or is there a minimum?
You can order one cap or as many as you'd like. There is no minimum order quantity for individual custom photo scrub caps. For bulk team orders, there is also no minimum — we work with groups of any size, from a small clinic team to an entire hospital department.
What is the difference between photo print scrub caps and embroidered logo scrub caps?
Custom photo print scrub caps use full fabric printing to create a completely personalized design featuring your pet photos, team photos, favorite quotes, personal artwork, custom colors, patterns, collages, or scattered layouts. The entire surface of the cap can be covered in your custom design.
Embroidered logo scrub caps use our professional digitizing technology, which converts your logo into a highly detailed embroidery file that is then stitched directly onto the cap using quality thread. Our digitizer can handle even the most complex logos and has produced shading effects in thread for organizations including hospitals, universities, residency programs, veterinary clinics, and medical device companies. Embroidery is ideal for a clean, professional branded look on solid colored caps.

What if I want to order more than one color?

Does a custom bandana come with my order?
Yes — and this is one of our favorite things about OR World that you won't find anywhere else. When we create your custom photo scrub cap, there is always a little extra personalized fabric left over from your unique design. Instead of wasting it, we use that fabric to make a complimentary custom bandana for your dog or pet, made from the exact same personalized fabric as your cap. We just need to know whether you'd like a small, medium, or large bandana for your pet. It's our way of giving you extra value and making sure your furry coworker gets to match too.
